Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of, NEOM, December 25, 2022: A specialized training program has been developed by NEOM CSR, the Corporate Social Responsibility division of the “land of the future” developing in northwest Saudi Arabia, to empower a new generation of students.
The initiative was set up to help students in the NEOM and Tabuk region realize their full potential. It was organized in partnership with the KEYSS Project (Knowledge Exchange for Youth Supporting Society) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the National Program for Community Development (Tanmiah), and non-governmental organizations.
The eight-week program, which targets 600 male and female students, including freshmen at the University of Tabuk and high school students from the NEOM and Tabuk area, seeks to help young people pursue their college educations with confidence and prepare them for influential careers after graduation.
The program’s 50 teachers and advisors will assist the students in choosing the most desirable majors that complement the future job market. They will also encourage them to discover their unique talents through engaging sessions that promote self-learning. Participants in the initiative will get a manual on tactical decision-making at the professional, academic, and personal levels.
According to Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program, the core of NEOM’s social responsibility initiatives is empowering a younger generation through education. Since its establishment, NEOM has introduced a number of educational initiatives, such as a scholarship program that has so far benefited 379 people, English language courses, and career-development possibilities.
