What is Line-Neom?

The Line is a 170-kilometer-long city that will run from east to west across the Neom region in Saudi Arabia. This city is special because it’s built with no cars, streets, or pollution. Instead, it’s filled with green spaces and nature, so people can live close to the environment. The Line will be home to nearly nine million people, making it a very big city. It’s built with two tall buildings that are like mirrors, with a space in between for people to enjoy. The city is planned to be 100% powered by renewable energy, and 95% of the land will be protected for nature. This city is part of a bigger plan called NEOM, which aims to create a new, modern, and sustainable way of living. The Line is expected to be completed by 2030, and the first residents will move in by 2024. 

It is a model of sustainable urban design and livability for the twenty-first century and beyond. THE LINE will transform urban life as we know it, allowing NEOM to become an economic engine for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the region, and the rest of the globe. THE LINE is a never-before-seen urbanization method — a 170km-long linear urban development comprising various, hyper-connected communities, with walkable neighborhoods interwoven with public parks and the natural landscape.

THE LINE runs through NEOM, connecting the Red Sea coast to the mountains and upper valleys of Saudi Arabia’s northwestern region.
