   Neom’s weather is typically hot and arid like the rest of Saudi Arabia, making the cooler winter months from November to February the best time to visit. However, Neom is a year-round destination, with temperatures averaging around 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) year-round, making it possible to indulge in sunbathing and various beach activities at any time.

Sindalah:

Sindalah is a paradise for beach lovers. It has clear blue waters and soft, white sandy beaches. You can relax, swim, and have fun in the sea. If you like exciting water activities, you can try snorkeling and sailing too. 

Sindalah is a luxury island destination in the NEOM project, a large-scale development in Saudi Arabia. The island resort will contain several tourist attractions, including a beach club, a yacht club, a holistic spa, and several hotels. Sindalah is famous for its well-equipped golf grounds, with nine holes allocated for 70-strokes. Sindalah will also be home to the GCC’s first island golf course. Sindalah Island, the first physical showcase of Neom, is set to open at the end of this year. Trojena:

Trojena is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers. It is a place with tall mountains and stunning views. You can go hiking on fantastic trails and feel like an explorer. The wildlife and rocks are awe-inspiring. 

Trojena is in the Sarawat Mountains, about 30 miles (50 km) from the city. This area has a semi-arid climate, but it’s mountainous, which means it can have snow in winter. Trojena is part of the larger $500 billion Neom project, which aims to create a futuristic city in the desert. Trojena is a futuristic ski resort that offers year-round outdoor skiing and adventure sports. About 7,000 people will live in Trojena as permanent residents. Trojena is known as the “Mountains of NEOM.”. It’s home to some of the highest peaks, which reach up to 2,600 meters in altitude. Trojena is intended to be fully complete before the region hosts the Asian Winter Games in 2029. The development will include a supertall skyscraper designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.

WADI TAYYB-ESM

Sedimentary spires rise 400 meters into the sky in an ancient mountain range that flows freely with clean water. This is the wadi, a spectacular spring-fed canyon that winds its way through granite, sandstone, and basalt spires before plunging into the Gulf of Aqaba. For hiking, swimming, snorkeling, and spotting wildlife in a beautiful setting, this is a great option.

MIDIAN TOMBS

HADDAH BEACH

HISMA DESERT

NEOM Water System

• FIRRST (fully integrated resource recovery seawater treatment) will be the first of its kind in the world to protect the Red Sea ecosystem.
• Water systems powered by renewable energy are delivering high-quality drinking water and recycled water across the network, as well as removing wastewater. Water quality, leak detection, and metering will all be monitored in real-time.
• Superior transmission and storage, network monitoring, and 100% wastewater and stormwater reuse are key to water conservation at NEOM. Chemicals, nutrients, minerals, and more resources will be harvested in state-of-the-art water recycling facilities for industrial and agricultural use.
• The seawater desalination plant is at the heart of this transformation. It is a massive facility integrated with brine processing. Within ten years, these advancements will enable a recovery rate of >60 percent and the processing of up to 1,000,000 m3 of water per day.
• We will build and operate a cutting-edge brine harvesting and processing plant integrated with the desalination facility.
• The network will be equipped with potable water reservoirs capable of supplying up to five days’ worth of demand. The majority of these reservoirs have a storage capacity of 100,000 m3 or more and are large concrete structures.
•  Up to 20 pumping stations will be commissioned and delivered by the end of 2024, and six major water reservoirs will be built over the next four years, aiming for a total storage capacity of 6,000,000 m3.
• 100% of the sewage has been collected and is being cleaned up. The NEOM environment receives no runoff water. Wastewater from all sources is repurposed. Recovery of as much energy and materials as possible Exemplary and cutting-edge creations.
• NEOM Wastewater aims to implement best practice biosolids management from the ground up with a strong focus on leveraging the regional need for land application and energy-neutral processes with Water Recycling and Recovery Plants (WRRPs).
